Methodology in Foreign Language Teaching

 1. The synthesis of the Diaries de campo

Following the systematic appropriations of the observations made in the sixth grade course assigned by the school, the following synthesis can be described, the most students always were attentive, willing to learn and followed the teacher's directions.
In all the previous classes, warm-ups were applied in different ways, with specific questions or small activities that allowed the student to return to prior knowledge. 
The teacher's approach applied her teachings based on the methodologies suggested by the school which were through the constructivism methodology and significant. But on this occasion they had the support of the CALL (computer asistend language learinning) methodology as the classes were given via Zoom. As the relationship of all these methodologies in the CAIT methodology (Computer, Assisted Language Learning),Being interactive classes focused on the use of virtual tools through pedagogical strategies such as natural aproach, TPR, sugestopedia and other strategies presented in roleplay, audio activities, online exercises, and other activities that included the book assigned for the degree. 

2. The description of the course.

The course integrates the purpose and results of learning thanks to the participation of practice, which gives us the experience of observing, learning and acquiring the methodologies and strategies for the teaching process. In the educational community we socialize the models, theories, strategies and didactics previously theoretically acquired in the methodology course in a foreign language focused on pedagogical strategies for the use of ICT. The practices carried out were from the sixth grade course, the students are between 11 and 13 years old, they are very educated, intelligent children, very well prepared, the students have good previous knowledge and the level of English in some is A2. The students follow the teacher's orders are receptive, attentive. But there are also some students with a lack of interest in the classes.

3. Plan de Trabajo

Through the course Methodology in the teaching of foreign languages and the practices carried out, the theoretical knowledge of the methodology, approaches and teaching strategies for the development of adequate teaching of a second language in virtual and face-to-face learning environments are strengthened. Being the application and assimilation of theoretical concepts for the teaching and learning of a second language.

Therefore, it is intended to analyze the results obtained in the questionnaires carried out to student for the feedback of the practice process, such as collecting the testing and evaluation process through a technological tool to improve teaching strategies and the application of new methodologies for the benefit of learning.

In general, the practices had very relevant moments in which theoretical knowledge could be strengthened such as methodology, approaches and teaching strategies in the different classes observed, such as the classes given. I was able to apply the methodological strategies of those when asking specific questions, performing the playess roles regarding the tastes of the type of parties that students preferred, such as the different competency games that students performed. As well as the importance of applying protocols for students to submit the tests.
